Sabia is a born and raised Slough ‘girl’ coming from humble origins as a daughter of immigrants, raised on a council estate by her single mother. She believes in putting residents at the forefront of decision making and has led changes within the council to demonstrate that. Sabia has a clear vision for the town as ‘One Slough One Community’, a place of immense opportunity for the many and not the few.

  • One in five of us has a mental health condition at any one time.
  • Around half of people with lifetime mental health problems experience the first symptoms before the age of 14.
